Lantern Grove — Privacy Policy

Applies to Lantern Grove: Logic Puzzles for Android (package com.lanterngrove.game). Effective 8 November 2026.

Lantern Grove is a logic puzzle game. It has no account, no sign-in and no cloud save. This page explains, in plain words, what the game keeps on your device, what optional services it can use, and how to control them.

Your progress belongs to you

Lantern Grove saves puzzles, settings, completion times, earned hints and a limited gameplay log on your device. There is no account or cloud save. You can delete this progress at any time from Settings → Delete progress inside the game, or by clearing the app's data in Android settings. Android Auto Backup may include this progress in your Google account's device backup, under Google's backup terms.

Optional play measurement

If you choose to share play statistics, Google Analytics for Firebase receives game events, device and app information, approximate region, install campaign labels and ad impression and revenue events. It uses an app instance identifier; these statistics are pseudonymous, not guaranteed anonymous. We do not ask for your name or email.

Where the law requires consent, play measurement stays off until you agree. Elsewhere it is on by default. Turning it off in Settings stops future collection and resets local analytics data; it does not automatically delete reports Google already received. Exporting your own gameplay report is optional and uses the destination you choose.

Google's handling of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy documentation.

Optional and between-clearing advertising

The game shows ads through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and asks for consent where required through Google's User Messaging Platform. These SDKs may process IP addresses, device and advertising identifiers, ad interactions and diagnostic data for advertising, fraud prevention and consent handling. Advertising choices are separate from play statistics; revisit them any time in Settings.

You can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of ads personalisation in Android's Google settings. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Purchases through Google Play

The one-time Remove ads purchase removes between-clearing ads and banners for good on every device signed in to your Google account; reward videos stay available because you choose them. Hint packs are also sold through Google Play. Google handles payment; we never see your card or UPI details. Purchase records are tied to your Google account and are restored by Google Play when you reinstall or change phones.

Offline play

All Android puzzles are bundled with the game. Videos need a connection; puzzles, undo and notes do not.

Children

Lantern Grove is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this game, contact us and we will help remove it.

Your choices and rights

Because the game holds no account, we cannot identify you from a request; the controls above act directly on your device and your Google account. Residents of the EEA, UK, Brazil, India and other regions with privacy laws may also exercise their rights with Google for data its SDKs process, as described in Google's policies linked above.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the effective date above is updated and the game's Privacy screen links to this page. Material changes are also noted in the app's release notes.
